Eventhough the tidal wave (tsunami) turned out to be tidal surges, at least the people of Hawaii was (mostly) prepared, and took action. This is MY account of the tsunami warning. I anticipated the boats from Honolulu’s three main harbors would leave as soon as the warning would sound. So I took advantage to take videos of the boats leaving the harbor before the first set of waves was expected to roll in. With the many shopping centers and Waikiki stores closed for the tsunami warning, Hawaii took a BIG lost of store revenue as well as tax dollars to Hawaii’s economic crisis. Better than having a tsunami crisis on our hands IF this was the BIG one…. be sure to watch my Part TWO
